Leave it to Lady Gaga to take what could be a tasteful nude and make it as creepy as possible. To promote her debut fragrance called Fame (presumably named after her first album The Fame), the perfume’s freshly released print ad features a completely nude Gaga barely covered by strategically placed tiny men crawling all over her!
This certainly isn’t the first time that Lady Gaga has appeared practically nude, regularly flashing the goods in strange and skimpy couture pieces and even baring her breasts in fashion editorials (all artfully done, of course). But the fact that Gaga expressed some apprehension about her Fame ad via Twitter makes the image all the more intriguing. If the queen of shock pop is a little nervous, we all should brace ourselves.

Lady Gaga won the outstanding music artist prize at the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) media awards in Los Angeles on Saturday (03-24-12).

The eccentric star picked up the prize for her album ‘Born This Way’ – which encourages people to accept themselves whoever they are – and although she did not attend the ceremony, tweeted she was delighted because it helped represent “equality and change”.

She wrote: “I’m so proud to win ‘Outstanding Artist’ for Born This Way album at GLAAD Media Awards. Thank you so much to your organization.

“Lets remind the world that the zeitgeist continues to beckon for equality + change. The relevancy of freedom, the ying yang of hatred + love (sic)”

Other winners at the event at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square included TV show ‘Dancing with the Stars’ which won outstanding reality program for featuring transgender contestant Chaz Bono, the son of singer Cher.

‘Chicago’ and ‘Hairspray’ producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan won the Vito Russo award – named after the late gay rights activist and presented to an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a contribution to promoting equality – and both paid credit to their sexuality.

In an acceptance speech, Zadan said being gay was “part of who I am, so it impacts on the work that we do”, while Meron added the pair had spent a long time trying to “fight, persuade and manipulate” negative cliches in the entertainment industry.

Gaga for food

Yes, Joanne Trattoria is owned by Lady Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta — whose longtime dream has been to own a restaurant in his neighborhood — but chef Art Smith insists it will be a local haunt through and through. “The Upper West Side is known for its itty-bitty restaurants, and Joanne’s is just that, a tiny restaurant with a Southern soul and an Italian heart,” explains Smith, a former personal chef for Oprah and a Lady Gaga pal.

A former personal assistant to Lady Gaga claims the singer has lived up to her album title of Fame Monster.

Jennifer O’Neill has filed a lawsuit seeking nearly $380,000 from Gaga’s touring company for 7,168 hours of unpaid overtime racked up while being at the entertainer’s beck-and-call in late 2009 and most of 2010.

Describing Gaga as a nightmare boss, O’Neill claims her duties required everything from acting as a “personal alarm clock” to “ensuring the promptness of a towel following a shower.”

The lawsuit was filed Dec. 14 in Manhattan federal court. Reps for Gaga say the action is “completely without merit,” CNN reports.Mike Fleeman

“A Very Gaga Thanksgiving” was conceived and directed by the singer, and will feature a sit-down interview with Katie Couric.

Lady Gaga may be stopping by for Thanksgiving — on television that is.

ABC has scheduled A Very Gaga Thanksgiving to air on Thanksgiving day, Nov. 24. The telecast will feature eight performances in front of a small crowd by the singer and a sit-down interview with Katie Couric. The special, conceived and directed by Lady Gaga, will also feature appearances by Tony Bennett and chef Art Smith.

Lady Gaga will perform a duet with Bennett (“The Lady Is a Tramp”) and a slew of her songs, including “Marry the Night,” “You and I” and “The Edge of Glory.” She will also sing holiday songs like “White Christmas.”

For Couric’s sit-down, conducted at the singer’s alma mater Sacred Heart Catholic School in Manhattan, the the two touch on Lady Gaga’s songs and the inspiration behind them. She will also reveal intimate details about her family, friends and her past.

A Very Gaga Thanksgiving is produced by Steven Johnson from Factory Films and Lincoln Square Productions. Rudy Bednar and David Saltz serve as executive producers.

This isn’t the first time Lady Gaga has been the subject of a TV special. Earlier this year, the CW aired Gaga by Gaultier, in which she was interviewed by fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. The network used it to launch its fall season.
